About Audia

Audia is a desktop app that takes a finished beat and does the publishing work: the analysis, the listing, the visual and the uploads.

Why it exists

Publishing a beat properly means the same job four times. Bounce the file. Work out the key and tempo. Write a title that follows the type-beat convention. Write tags. Write a description. Make a video so YouTube has something to show. Set licence tiers on BeatStars and Airbit. Then upload it all, four times, in four different interfaces.

None of that is making music, and all of it stands between a finished beat and a released one. Audia was written to remove it. You drop the file in and pick a preset; roughly thirty seconds of your attention. The app does the rest on your own machine and publishes when it is done.

How it works

Audia is a desktop application, not a web service. Analysis and video rendering happen locally on your own hardware, and your platform tokens are stored in your operating system keychain. Nothing about your audio leaves your computer until you choose to publish it. That is a deliberate design decision: producers should not have to upload unreleased work to somebody else's server to get a title written.

Who it is for

Producers who release regularly and sell on more than one platform. If you put out one beat a year, Audia will not pay for itself. If you are trying to keep a catalogue moving across YouTube, BeatStars, SoundCloud and Airbit, it removes the part of the job that scales worst.

Who makes it

Audia is built and run in the United Kingdom by a small independent team who produce as well. The roadmap is shaped by the producers using it — support requests come back from the person who wrote the code, not a ticket queue. If you want something in the app, say so and it will be read.
